What your day looks like
Visit a land before time: Spend the day with us Island hopping from French Island to Phillip Island getting up close and personal with some of Australia’s cutest and cuddliest native wildlife. Take in the breathtaking ocean views and join us for a day that will be hard to forget for years to come. Ferry crossing across Western Port Bay to French Island: We start off our journey with a short trip across Western Port Bay to French Island. Crossing the Crystal Blue Sea to our first destination taking in the picturesque scenery of the day. 4WD adventure French Island: Arriving on this hidden treasure of wilderness that is French Island, we will be participating in a guided tour around the island where our tour guide will share their knowledge of the natural environment whilst we observe the Koalas and array of wildlife that inhabit the island. We stop at a local farmgate and experience how local lives. Ferry crossing across Western Port Bay to Phillip Island: This next leg of our journey we’ll see us traveling to world-renowned and locally enjoyed Phillip Island and one of Australia’s most amazing locations. Home to some of the greatest surf conditions, amazing beaches, native Australian wildlife, and the world-famous motorbike circuit. The Nobbies Boardwalk: We take off on a short adventure to Point Grant also known by the locals as ‘Nobbies’ where we’ll take in the remarkable natural sights and home to a seal colony, dramatic sea bluffs, and panoramic ocean views. Penguin Parade: To finish our journey be inspired by the natural elements of the surrounding landscape, get up close and personal with some cute little penguins, and have expert ranger commentary on the lives of these delightful creatures. Optional Upgrades: Penguins Plus (PP) - The Penguins Plus viewing platform offering visitors unprecedented, up-close viewing of the little penguins as they waddle along the most popular pathway at the Penguin extra $40 p/person – Must be pre-booked Underground Viewing (UV) - Get an eye-level view of the Little penguins in the Underground viewing experience. Limited to a maximum of just 70 people, Enjoy up-close viewing of the Little penguins waddling along the Parade’s most popular pathway through an underground viewing window. $55 p/person – Must be pre-booked Guided Ranger Tour (GR) - Join your ranger guide for an informative journey through the penguin colony, enjoying their commentary via your personal headset. Take your seat in the wonderfully located beachfront viewing stand offering superb viewing of the penguins emerging from the water and crossing the beach. Minimum age 12 years. $65 p/person – Must be pre-booked

Main Meeting Point is at the bus stop outside the Mail Exchange Hotel - 688 Bourke St. Guests must be waiting at the pickup point at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup. I was really looking forward to this tour and was surprised when it turned out so poorly. First, the penguins are fabulous. We paid extra for a ranger guided tour, and that was great too, although it was very short in time. I would have stayed longer had I been on my own. Everything else was a waste of time. The trip to the ferry was on a bus with another tour, so we went to their spot first, There was no commentary from the driver, so no tour honestly. The ferry was fine, but French Island is NOTHING. The guide didn't explain much and the vehicle was old, beat-up, and no way to hear the driver over the rattling. no microphone, no speakers, no a/c. The lady's house where baked potatoes are served was fine, She took the time to answer questions, and was the only redeeming value to the whole island. Just go see the penguins and bypass French Island.
