Your guide will stop by the famous Bruny Island Baker's Fridges, where you can purchase freshly baked bread. There will be free time in Lunawanna to purchase lunch from the locally owned cafe. The journey, in full
Your day starts leisurely with a pickup from the Hobart area. You'll then head straight down to Kettering to catch the vehicle ferry to Bruny Island. Keep an eye out for dolphins and whales as you cross the D'Entrecasteaux Channel. Once on the island, you'll journey south to Cape Bruny Lighthouse for an exclusive tour. Experience the wild ocean and South Bruny National Park from the top of lighthouse, hear stories of shipwrecks, convict settlement and the life of lighthouse keeper at one the most remote lighthouses in Tasmania. Next, a stop at Lunawanna Cafe. This charming cafe is full of local Bruny Island art and some delicious treats, a perfect place to enjoy lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. After lunch, you'll journey through Adventure Bay in search for the famous White Wallaby and other wildlife as you head to the historic Two Tree Point. Next up, you'll stop at The Neck and climb the Truganini Lookout for stunning 360 degree views of North and South Bruny. Then enjoy an afternoon of optional tastings and time for purchases at gourmet local producers. Visit Bruny Island Chocolate Co. for delicious fudge and chocolate. Grab a beer and award winning cheeses at Bruny Island Cheese Company. Stop by a drive through oyster bar, Get Shucked Oysters, for freshly shucked oysters - the best you may ever try! Enjoy time at Bruny Island Honey. Browse their gift shop, try their honey products and taste a range of Tasmanian Honeys. You'll also have a quick visit at the famous Bruny Island Baker Bread Fridge for a photo opportunity and fresh sour doughs. You'll then start your journey back to Hobart.
