Welcome to Australia! Today is an arrival day. Our guests will be staying at the historic Carrington Hotel in the heart of Katoomba for the next 3 nights in a Colonial Room (king or twin).

Leisure. Arrival Day - Katoomba: This landmark, art deco manor is in the heart of Katoomba with shops, cafes and restaurants at your doorstep. Tonight enjoy a free evening to explore one of the many restaurants in Katoomba, alternatively dine in the hotel’s restaurant (own expense).

Day 2

Eco Tour at Wentworth Falls, New South Wales. Wentworth Falls to Gordon Falls Walk: The guides will meet you at the Carrington in Katoomba where they will give you a short briefing. You will then have a short 15 minute transfer to the start of your walk at Wentworth Falls. The Walk starts at the Wentworth Falls lookout, here you can take in panoramic views over the canyon below and the steep cliffs surrounding it. Descend down through the rainforest to Fletchers lookout, here you will see the Wentworth Falls cascade a 100 metres down into the valley. You continue the walk on a railed path on the cliffs edge, providing constant views over the canyon. You will cross a few bridges on the way to Empress Falls lookout. Once there you will have more beautiful waterfall views, before making your way back up through the thick eucalyptus forest to Gordon Falls. SHORTER WALK OPTION: Choose to end your walk at Sublime point lookout for a shorter option (7 km)

Day 3

Sydney

Eco Tour at Blue Mountains National Park. Gordon Falls to Scenic Rail via Three Sisters You start your walk where you ended yesterday, after a lovely breakfast at the Carrington. We start with a little detour taking you to the falls lookout where you can watch Gordon Creek flow over the cliff, and land 200 meters down into the canyon. When the views are taken in, you continue your walk surrounded by lush eucalyptus forests, with towering cliffs appearing in the gaps between the leaves. You continue on this path to Leura Falls, a smaller but picturesque waterfall. You continue slowly descending into the valley, where the trees grow thicker and higher. You find yourself in Leura forest, a perfect place to rest up and have a well-deserved lunch. After lunch, you continue your walk past the three sisters, with views of the canyon breaking through the forest once in a while. This is the best place to spot some of the local wildlife before you reach the scenic railway that takes you up the cliff. The scenic railway is renowned for being the steepest passenger railway in the world, providing a little excitement, and marvelous views. SHORTER WALK OPTION: Choose to end your walk at the scenic railway and be transferred back to the Carrington by bus (8 km).

At the top you follow the ridge back to Katoomba where you can indulge in another exquisite dinner accompanied by fine wine at the Carrington Hotel, a well-deserved reward for your endeavours. Accommodation.

Day 4

Katoomba

Hiking at Six Foot Track. Six Foot track Megalong Creek to Winery: Savour another breakfast at the Carrington in Katoomba before heading off with our guides, you will transfer to the start of the 6-foot track trail. This is why we have incorporated one of the highlight sections of the track into this amazing Blue Mountain adventure. You travers down to a local winery with stunning views all the way there. You start by making your way through the rainforest of Nellies Glen as we descend the Blue Mountains escarpment. Make sure you look up on the way to see the dramatic views above you. Walk through rural areas complete with horses and cows that may come to the fence to say hello until we reach the local winery in the Megalong Valley with spectacular views over the Blue Mountains escarpment, vineyards, green forest, and rolling hills.
