What your day looks like

Explore the impressive Valdes Peninsula, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on this full-day tour from Puerto Madryn. This geographic formation is famous for being an ideal breeding ground for certain species of marine fauna, including the southern right whales, sea lions, orcs and penguins. On this day in the middle of nature, you will be accompanied by bilingual guides and naturalists. We also include transfers from Luis Piedrabuena bridge (at the cruise ship). .

Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

Is a tour of approximately 380 km. Peninsula Valdés, was declared Mankind’s Natural Heritage, and it shelters along all of it’s extension, different species that have found in this area a propitious place to develop their lives. We begin our trip by stopping at the “Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center” located in the Isthmus Carlos Ameghino, from where you would get a panoramic view of both gulfs: “Nuevo” and “San Jose”. During this trip we expand on the interpretation of the terrestrial ecosystem that is explained by the specialized guides that the company offers. Our trip continues to Puerto Pirámide a tourist village, from where we embark on the whale watching ships, guided by the captains Tito Bottazzi and Sebastian Romeo, who will introduce you in the interpretation of the coastal and marine ecosystem, assisted by the auxiliary personnel on board, enjoying of the best natural experience of the Peninsula Valdes. After having some free time for lunch in “Quimen Quipan”. The tour continues as we go to Caleta Valdes, an interesting geographic accident and settlement of the southern elephant seals. On the Atlantic Ocean, you also have the opportunity to observe a colony of southern sea lions and the landscape of the lighthouse “Punta Delgada”. As we return to Puerto Madryn, we will be seeing the Great and the Small Salt Lakes (source of income in the beginning of the twentieth century because of salt trade) and Birds Island; witch has various marine birds of the area. In the outskirts you will also find the replica of the San Jose Fort Chapel-. We return to Puerto Madryn around 6 pm.
