The Parana Delta is one of the world’s largest natural deltas and a popular day trip destination from Buenos Aires, meaning it can get busy in the summer months. Avoid the crowds on this private full-day tour and visit the affluent suburbs of Olivos and San Isidro, explore historic Tigre, and enjoy a cruise around the delta. We shall take you to Tigre through the coastal route which we have known for a long time. From your cruise ship or your hotel, meet your local guide in the morning, get on a comfortable minivan or minibus and enjoy the trip. This trip not only takes you to Tigre, a well-known beauty spot just outside Buenos Aires, very popular with the locals, but will also make you discover the coastal route and San Isidro which few people have a chance to see. You will discover the lifestyle of the islanders and understand the importance of the Rio de la Plata for the economy and the ecosystem of Buenos Aires. We know all the spots where the locals go to relax on weekends. You have 2 options: Option 1: The coastal route-1 hr cruise-Visit of Tigre and Puerto de Frutos. Option 2 (6 pers. min): A 2 hr cruise from Buenos Aires-Tigre and Puerto de Frutos-The Coastal route. Both options offer time for lunch by the waterfront. At the end of your day, the guide will bring you back to your ship or hotel, advise you on further visits and suggest shopping location.

Perhaps it was our guide, or the tour. We found the guide to be lacking in excitement and information for the tour. We learned much less than we wished for. The tour was listed as 7 hrs and it lasted only 5.5 hrs and that included one hour lunch. The boat tour was just ok as the information was provided not by a live guide but by a recorded voice. They was little interaction and time for questions. We would not recommend this guide for private tours - but perhaps she had a bad day. There needs to be more interesting things to do and see in Tigre to make this a full day tour, in our opinion, given the price.
