Detailed Itinerary
The journey, in full
The excursion starts with the pick up at the passengers` hotels in our 4x4 vehicles to begin a journey through the Patagonian steppe. Among the cliffs and overlooking the Andes, the excursion focuses on the first contacts of those expeditionaries with the natives, and then enter the Tehuelche world. On the shores of the lake are the caves where thousands of years ago that culture left its marks on the rock and which today lead us to its interpretation. The tour culminates in another cave, with a lunch or dinner that will transport us to those remote years. The itinerary encompasses three key stops: First Stop: Along the shores of Lake Argentino, providing insights into flora and landscape, coupled with explanations about glaciology and geology. Second Stop: At the cliffs of Punta Bonita, offering panoramic views of the lake and the Andes Mountains. Third Stop: An archaeological zone featuring rock art, concluding with a meal in a cave. The journey concludes with a transfer back to El Calafate.
