Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

We start the navigation leaving the tourist port of Ushuaia towards the center of the Beagle Channel , enjoying as we move away from the panoramic view of the Ushuaia coast. We are going to be sailing southwest by approaching the Isla de los Lobos, where from the boat we can see sea lions on their permanent habitat. Then we continue to the Bird Island, the habitat of Magellanic and Imperial Cormorants, and a privileged sector to spot specimens of marine birds. The furthest point of navigation is the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, in the archipelago of the same name. On these islets it is possible to see part of Monte Cervantes, a ship that sank in 1930. Following the southern coast of the Isla Grande in Tierra del Fuego we can see the Estancia Remolino where the Monte Sarmiento ship is aground. Crossing the Beagle Channel in a north-south direction we see the Gable Island and the Puerto Williams Naval Base (located on Isla Navarino, Republic of Chile). Arriving at Isla Martillo we will stop to look at the colony of Magellanic Penguins that nest during the summer season. From here we return to the local port, spotting the Estancias Road Tunnel and Fique.
