Detailed Itinerary

The journey, in full

We will pick you up at 09:00 AM by central hotels in Buenos Aires and then start with this interesting tour. The first place we will visit is Plaza de la Memoria, where the Israel Embassy was located in Argentina. In 1992, a bomb destroyed the building, 29 persons died and more than 200 people got hurt. As we mentioned before, now there is a square with monuments for the victims and the Israeli government, founded in 2000. In addition, Lime trees were also planted in memory of each of the people who died there. We will continue with the tour, visiting “Templo de la Libertad” or “Liberty Temple” (Israelite Congregation´s Synagogue of Argentina) where the Israelite Congregation works. However, that is not all, because it is the biggest and oldest Jewish Temple that we have in our country. It was declared a National Historic Monument in 2000. After this, we will visit AMIA (Argentine Israelite Mutual Association); the New Jewish Community´s headquarters in Argentina created to make all the necessary activities to accomplish all Jewish traditions. We will know their functions, ideas, and their story that are important for all of us. (The visit to AMIA is subject to availability.) Finally, another important point to talk about is the tour to Once Neighbourhood considered the “porteño” neighborhood and where there is most of the Jewish community. During this part of the tour, we can visit Jewish synagogues, restaurants, and markets such as “Templo de Paso”, one of the most visited and popular temples in Buenos Aires. It was founded in 1930, has a capacity of 2000 people, and is one of the oldest synagogues in Argentina and one of the most beautiful in South America. There was located the first “Talmud Torá” (religious study house) of Buenos Aires. After 4 hours of visiting important places for the Jewish Community in Buenos Aires, we will go back to your hotel.
