The journey, in full
The excursion begins with a pick-up at the agreed meeting point in El Calafate. Later we will stop at the port “Bajo de las Sombras” navigating up to in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Upon disembarking, a short walk will begin along the coast of the lake. Upon reaching the edge of the glacier, you will put on crampons and helmets. Once on the ice, you will receive a brief safety briefing and begin the walk with your guide. Always with the help of the mountain guides you will enjoy this natural ice paradise. The tour on the glacier lasts approximately an hour and a half and during its course you will be able to see a variety of typical formations of a glacier such as cracks, sinkholes, seracs, lagoons, etc. At the end of the ice walk, you will return to the refuge. Shortly afterward, they will board to return to the port and observe the walls of the glacier. The excursion includes a one-hour guided tour of the walkways of the Perito Moreno Glacier, 7 km from the port. Minitrekking is aimed at people who enjoy nature, adventure and want to live the experience of walking on the ice of the most beautiful glacier in the world.
