Climb Mount Penitentes, we highly recommend this trek-ascent of this wild and gorgeous mountain located on the eastern side of the Andes and close to the small village of the same name. This mountain provides an excellent and enjoyable climb without any technical difficulty and its summit offers a unique view of the Aconcagua. It is a highly recommended for anyone that wants to enjoy an unforgettable experience in the Andes.

Day 1

Mendoza

Welcome to Argentina! Meeting with the guide in Mendoza. 800m = 2624ft. Checking of equipment and renting of extra equipment if required. Transport to Penitentes Village | 2800 m = 9190 ft (2.5 hours drive)

Eco Tour. Trekking to the base camp I 3212m = 10541 ft I through the ‘Quebrada de Vargas’ (6-7 hours average time)

Hiking at Penitentes Hill. Penitentes climb Climbing of Penitentes summit 14229ft, back to base camp. Elevation gain 1124m = 3688ft
