Visit Uruguay and enjoy the town of Colonia and the capital city, Montevideo. Colonia was founded in 1680 by Portuguese people. This small town with beautiful colonial architecture awakens admiration among visitors who walk along the cobblestoned streets and admire residences and colorful houses. For these reasons, Colonia was declared a World Heritage by UNESCO. Montevideo is the capital and most important and influential city in Uruguay, the seat of MERCOSUR. It hosts one of the most important ports in the region. This metropolis has an old district with a strong Spanish influence, with the main focus on Plaza de la Independencia (Independence Square) and new areas, such as Carrasco, Punta Carretas, Pocitos, and Malvin.

Your day, step by step
Buenos Aires
A great adventure awaits you! We will pick you up early, around 7:00 am, our driver picks you up from your hotel/Airbnb and takes you to Buenos Aires ferry station. After going through customs (note that passports are required) you board the ferry for a comfortable and pleasant 1 hours ride across the “Rio Plata” that separates Argentina from Uruguay.

City/Town Tour. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your local guide and embark on a walking tour of the city’s most iconic landmarks for a 2-hour stroll. As you visit each of the city's emblematic sites, your passionate local guide will take you on a journey through time, sharing live commentary full of information you won’t find in any book or travel guide. You will have free time for lunch (lunch not included). Later your driver will take you to your 4-star hotel in Montevideo.

Montevideo
City/Town Tour. In the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast included at your hotel. You will have free time to explore the city on your own and have lunch (lunch not included). Around 2:30 PM, your guide will pick you up at the hotel and you embark on a tour of the city’s highlights. In three fun-filled and exciting hours you discover the city’s unique atmosphere that combines Latin American and European cultural influences.
Buenos Aires
Leisure. Admire the impressive colonial architecture at the city’s Old District and Independence Square, get in-depth knowledge of Montevideo’s rich theatrical and musical scene at Uruguay’s oldest and most important theater, be blown away by the intricate architecture of Uruguay’s tallest building, drive by the promenade enjoying fantastic views of the city’s sandy beaches, pass by the stadium that hosted the 1st soccer world cup in 1930, and stop at an Agricultural Market to learn about traditional Uruguayan products.
Buenos Aires
Next, your guide will take you to the ferry terminal for your return to Buenos Aires. Arrival in Buenos Aires will be around 10:00 PM, where another driver will be waiting to safely take you to your hotel/Airbnb.
